In 2017, the Russian U16 National Team completed our CHL/NHL Benchmark On-Ice Testing. Not every young player develops at the same pace. Two players of the same chronological age can be at different stages of physical development
The SISM Hockey Player Performance Analysis System therefore uses two assessment approaches:
📊 GAP Analysis – Standard
If biological age is not available, performance is assessed based on the player’s chronological age and the corresponding age-specific benchmark. The GAP shows the difference between the player’s current performance and the performance target for their exact age.
🧬 FAIR Analysis – Biological Age
If the player’s biological age is known, it is used for the age-adjusted performance assessment. This allows the player’s measured performance to be evaluated more precisely in relation to their individual stage of physical development.
