BESA Camp Promo April 2023EN

We still have a few free places for the Power Skating Camps 2023 in Arosa

This year we are holding the BESA Power Skating Camp for the 13th time. The SIHF-certified camp has developed into the largest skating camp in Europe.

The camp is led by Besa Tsintsadze, assisted by Herbert Schädler. Besa is a two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins where he served as a skating coach. He was also the skating coach at HC Davos from 2013 to 2019, with championship titles and Spengler Cup victories. Besa also works as a personal trainer for NHL superstars such as Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby etc.

Herbi Schänder has been the regional manager for Eastern Switzerland for U15 talent development at the SIHF and personal trainer for Swiss NHL players for years and is also the S&C coach in Arosa, so that the players can warm up and cool down correctly under professional guidance.

In the past 2022/2023 hockey season, over 50 players were active in the National League or Swiss League, some of whom were in our camps several times. What stands out is the performance of Simon Knak, who has already played a key role at HC Davos and has already made his national team debut with a goal. Other well-known players include Chris and Phil Baltisberger and Luca Fazzini, to name a few. In the coming season, young players will continue to be integrated into the NL teams, such as Brian Zanetti (SCL Tigers) and Lorenzo Canonica (HC Lugano), some of whom have been to the BESA camp several times and have played in Canada in recent years.

It’s never too early to start solid skating training, and the BESA camp welcomes players as young as 10 years old. After just four days of camp, there is clear progress and the players keep coming back to camp to continue improving. Players aged 13 and over already have an idea about their hockey career, so the level of players taking part is already considerable. Players aged 15-16 and over who may have already played in a selection can also register for the Going-Pro Camp.

The CHL/NHL On-Ice Test has also been held in every camp since 2014. The test shows the player where his strengths and weaknesses lie and how talented he is. Our globally unique test analysis also gives the player goals to work towards in order to achieve their dreams. The system is proven thanks to more than 4,000 players analyzed, including some players who were taken in the first round of the NHL draft or players with excellent test results who made it into professional hockey.

The camps are very demanding and intensive. Highly motivated and well-prepared players benefit most from these camps. Then you know what you have learned!
