BESA Camp Promo Mai 2023 English

We still have a few free places for the Power Skating Camps 2023 in Arosa

This year we are holding the BESA Power Skating Camp for the 13th time. The SIHF-certified camp has become the largest skating camp in Europe.

The camp is led by Besa Tsintsadze, supported by Herbert Schädler. Besa is a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins, where he served as a skating coach. He was also the skating coach at HC Davos from 2013 to 2019 and won championship titles and the Spengler Cup. Besa also works as a personal trainer for NHL superstars such as Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby, etc.

Herbert Schädler has been regional manager for Eastern Switzerland for U15 talent development at the SIHF and personal trainer for Swiss NHL players for years. He is also the S&C coach in Arosa so that the players can carry out the warm-up and cool-down correctly under professional guidance.

In the last 2022/2023 hockey season, over 50 players were already active in the National League or Swiss League, some of whom took part in our camps several times. Particularly noteworthy is the performance of Simon Knak, who has already played a key role at HC Davos and celebrated his debut in the national team with a goal. Other well-known players include Chris and Phil Baltisberger and Luca Fazzini, to name just a few. Further young players will also be integrated into the NL teams in the coming season, such as Brian Zanetti (SCL Tigers) and Lorenzo Canonica (HC Lugano), both of whom have taken part in the BESA Camp several times and have played in Canada in recent years.

It’s never too early to start solid skating training, and players as young as 10 can take part in the BESA camp, and Zuchwil as young as 8. After just four days in camp, there is clear progress and players continue to come back to improve. Players aged 13 and over already have an idea of their hockey career, so the level of players taking part is already considerable. Players aged 15-16 who may have already played on a national team can also register for the Going-Pro Camp.

Since 2014, the CHL/NHL on-ice test has also taken place in every camp, which shows the player where his strengths and weaknesses lie and how talented he is. Our globally unique test analysis also gives the player concrete goals that they can work on in order to make their dreams come true. The system has been tested thanks to the analysis of more than 4,000 players, including some players selected in the first round of the NHL draft or players with outstanding test results who made it to professional hockey.

Compex, a leading manufacturer of electronic muscle stimulation devices (EMS), has been present in Arosa since 2020 and supports players in regeneration after training. For the first time, the company is sponsoring our on-ice tests, and the player with the best results will receive a valuable gift.

The camps are very demanding and intensive. Highly motivated and well-prepared players benefit most from these camps. Here you know what you have learned
